Business

Business with the European Union either from within or without, can be new territory for those have dealt only with China or the United States.  The European Union requires that businesses doing business with the Union follow the Country Commercial Guide which is also know as the CCG.

The EU which is comprised of twenty-seven member states, has had a long standing business relationship with the US.  It is estimated that trade between the EU and US generates around 550 Billion.  Recently, the economic crisis that many nations are facing has hurt the EU in unemployment figures, but the Euro has remained strong.

Within the EU market, the US still faces issues with export of product but also with the internet.  There are several regulations in place that make it somewhat difficult for businesses to conduct transactions.  Even the basic customs procedures in the EU are more strict than what are found in other parts of the world.
