Cyprus facing unemployment in EU

Employment and unemployment levels are significant indicators of both financial and social health of any country. High level of unemployment takes country down and creates hurdles in the growth. With the reference of Euro State figures which were published on last Friday, since from November 2010 to November 2011 Cyprus have to face the highest unexpected increase in the case of unemployment among the member of European union including Greece and Spain.

Last year in November 2011 the rate of unemployment was increased and measured about the 9.1 %.  But in the year of 2010 it was 6%. This figure of 9.1 % is still below the overall unemployment of European United which is the average of 9.8 %. In Cyprus, unemployment of below 25 year young people is also increased from the September 2010 to the September 2011. In September 201o it was 15.3 % and in September 2011 it was 23.1 %.  Figures tell that in 2010 unemployed persons were nearly 22,842, where in 2011 it was increased and figured out about 28,276, this increase is about the 23.8 %.

In case of European United, in November 2011 the average was measured at 22.3 % but in November of 2010 it was about 21 %. In Cyprus, unemployment of men and women individually is recorded equally. In men it was measured about 9.2 % and for women it was 9.1 % in the November of 2011.The equivalent phase of last year saw joblessness in men by 5.7% and in women by 6.4%
